Fear Not Unhappiness

My first take at meaningfull nonsense.

"Fear not unhappiness" is the inspiring quote I came across today. Apparently it is a quote of a legendary Chinese philosopher, Lao-Tzu. I have not yet researched (googled) on him, but who cares. I wonder why no one ever quotes legendary Indian philosophers, if ever such a thing existed.

The quote struck me because it is simple and yet for me strikes indeciveness at its core. For this post, I will define indecisiveness as inability to decide between multiple alternatives. Every problem we face builds in us a new defence mechanism in two ways, 1) overcoming and 2) avoiding.

"overcoming" enhances our solution set while "avoiding" makes us extrapolate the cause and predict similar problems. This extrapolation will help us decide better between clear alternatives but at the same time will make us indecisive among ambiguous alternatives. The reason we become indecisive is we fear the unhappy effect awaiting either alternative. This, to me, says decisions will be easier if one has the fortitude to face unhappiness.

Welcoming myself to the blognet

Wow.. Finally I am there, a space where I can say all the thoughts that are filled in my head and be anonymous.

My goal is to write my muses in this blog without deleting any word .. I meant to say editing my writing.. I think it will be fun to see how it goes. I have no clue what I am going to write about but Ii think I will find some thing interesting even in my life.

Thanks I wanted to say...but then I decided it will be out of place. In future I will stop mentiuoning my curtailed thoughts.
